The principles of handling your personal data

We only collect and use your personal data if you consent to the collection of data or if this is permitted by law. The same applies to the disclosure of your personal data.

Handling your access data

Shopify

Hosting

We host our website with Shopify International Limited, 2nd Floor 1-2 Victoria Buildings, Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland (hereinafter: "Shopify").

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Shopify. This is a contract required by data protection law that ensures that Shopify processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with data protection laws.

When you visit our website, Shopify records your IP address as well as information about the device you are using and your browser. Shopify also analyses visitor numbers, visitor sources, and customer behaviour, as well as compiles user statistics.

When you make a purchase on our website, Shopify also records your name, email address, delivery and billing addresses, payment details, and other data related to the purchase (e.g., phone number, number of sales, etc.). Shopify stores cookies in your browser for analysis purposes.

Data processing for pre-orders

If you place a pre-order via our online store, we process the personal data you provide when placing the order (e.g. name, e-mail address, billing and delivery address and payment information).

This processing takes place in order to receive and manage your pre-order, to inform you about the processing and delivery status and to fulfil the contract with you.

Please note: Your data may be stored for a longer period than usual due to the pre-order. However, your data will only be stored for as long as it is necessary to process the pre-order and to comply with statutory retention periods.

Data processing for the handling of your order

In order to process your order, we work together with service providers, who support us in whole or in part in the execution of concluded contracts. Certain personal data is transmitted to these service providers in accordance with the following information.

Forwarding of personal data to shipping service providers

For the purpose of delivering your ordered shoes, we forward your personal data required for the delivery (such as name, delivery address, e-mail address and telephone number for delivery announcements or appointments) to the shipping service provider commissioned by us.

If you have expressly consented to this during the ordering process, we will also pass on your e-mail address and, if applicable, telephone number for the purpose of package notification or shipment tracking. The legal basis for this additional processing is your consent. You can revoke this at any time with effect for the future.

Forwarding of personal data to payment service providers

PayPal

When paying via PayPal, credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal or - if offered - "purchase on account" or "instalment payment" via PayPal, we pass on your payment data to PayPal (Europe) S.a.r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg (hereinafter "PayPal"), as part of the payment processing.

The data will only be passed on to the extent that this is necessary for payment processing. PayPal reserves the right to carry out a credit check for the payment methods credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal or - if offered - "purchase on account" or "instalment payment" via PayPal.

For this purpose, your payment data may be passed on to credit agencies based on PayPal's legitimate interest in determining your solvency. PayPal uses the result of the credit check with regard to the statistical probability of non-payment for the purpose of deciding on the provision of the respective payment method.

The credit report may contain probability values (so-called score values). If score values are included in the result of the credit report, they are based on a scientifically recognized mathematical-statistical procedure.

You can object to this processing of your data at any time by sending a message to PayPal. However, PayPal may still be entitled to process your personal data if this is necessary for contractual payment processing.

Shopify Payments (immediate bank transfer, credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro), Klarna, Shop Pay)

We use the payment service provider "Shopify Payments" which is offered by Shopify International Limited, 2nd Floor 1-2 Victoria Buildings, Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland.

If you choose a payment method offered by the payment service provider Shopify Payments, the payment will be processed by the technical service provider Stripe Payments Europe Ltd, 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin 2, Ireland, to whom we will pass on the information you provide during the ordering process in addition to the information about your order (name, address, account number, bank code, credit card number if applicable, invoice amount, currency and transaction number).

Your data will only be passed on for the purpose of payment processing with Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. and only to the extent that it is necessary for this purpose.

Use of Klaviyo Onsite Tracking

On our website, we use features of the Klaviyo service, provided by Klaviyo Inc., 125 Summer St, Boston, MA 02111, USA, to analyse user behaviour and personalise our email and SMS marketing.

When you interact with our website (e.g. by viewing or searching for products, collections or adding items to your shopping basket), Klaviyo may collect and analyse this information. If you have been identified via email, by subscribing to our Newsletter and consenting to this usage, your behaviour on our website will be linked to your user profile at Klaviyo. Meta pixels

Our website uses the “meta pixel” of the social network Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. Meta Conversion API

To register for our newsletter, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that you will receive an e-mail with a confirmation link after registering. After your registration has been confirmed, your e-mail address will be added to our mailing list. We use your personal data exclusively to send you regular information about our offers, news and events. Contentsquare

We use Contentsquare, a web analytics service, to understand how visitors interact with our website and to improve user experience. The tool collects anonymous usage data such as clicks, scrolls, and page views. Personal data is not recorded. Contentsquare only runs after you have given your consent through our cookie banner.
